Right now I have a MTX stealthbox with a thunder 6000 10" in it. It hits, and sounds perdy good, but I want more.

The amp powering it is a Clarion Pro Audio 75x2 bridged. So I only have 300 watts to work with, though I think thats plenty for 1 10".

I was thinking of just upgrading to a thunder 8000 but I think they are just ugly ( the current thunder 6000 is one of the old black ones), so I'm kind of torn. THE ONLY THING I DON'T WANT IS JL.

So I believe the box is approximately .7-.8 cubic feet of space, and I have 300 watts, and I want a couple more DB's out of it. How are those Pioneer VCCS Pro's??? Type R???Can I power a Thunder 8000???

i have two mtx thunder 4k 12"s but it sounds like you only have a box for one 10" i'm only running a 250 watt amp and they hit like they're going through a 1k watt amp

 

Anyone have POLK MOMOS????

They are sweet, will hanlde the power, have a similiar box requirement, and have a sensitivity of 91 db as opposed to 85 or 87 like the MTX.

 

Why dont you want JL??? I have heard a single 10 bounce the sh** out of a camaro and only with 150 watts!!!

I say JL is Bad@ss and worth every penny.

I have had a lot of JL's and will never go back ( 4 pairs to be exact).

They aren't as great as you think....go listen to a solobaric....you'll never even THINK of buying JL ever again.

 

the L7 solobarics are epic,you should also check out the new kenwood( yes,kenwood!) and pioneer spl subs,they finally started making subs that pound instead of crap.pick up one of the kenwood 13" (yes 13") subs ,they weigh 40 lbs! they also handle 500watts(rms) per voice coil. expensive! 850 for the 13"and 750 for the 11"!
