got to use some volfenhags.....:(

hey, ive heard volfs get praise upon praise around here so when i had the chance to hear them i was excited....

a friend gave me a bunch of car audio stuff(8subs 6 amps 5 headunits) and amog it was a set of 12" volfs.

after i put them in my hatch box and started playing it i was extremly disapointed.....My perfects pounded 20 times better, had better tone and a lower freq.

it isnt the amp, or the box, or the headunit....maybe i wired the DVC wrong....

positive from amp to red inlet, red inlet to black inlet
black wire from amp to black inlet, black inlet to red inlet

anyways, i was really let down to hear these beasts in action and to be let down.... thought id share....

Heh...

They probably didn't sound that bad for, what, $125 a pair??? They aren't in the same category as Infinty Perfects, tose are nice subs. I have one '10 in my Dad's truck and it sounds good.

MTX what??? That's not really a dis......unless you are talking about thunder 4000's or Road thunder subs.....I would definately expect the MTX 6000's and 8000's to blow the Wolfenhags away.

The 2 10 inch Visonik's I had ( $105 for the pair) hit harder that rockford He2's. Off of a 75x2 amp I might add.

I have a car with a 10' MTX stealth box in it now.... it prolly 2 db's quieter than my 2 10's.

I'm gonna replace that sub with either a $120 Visonik unit or the new 'Premier' SPL sub.

They are cheap crap. Nobody believes me when I rag on this stuff because they just think that I'm some sort of eletist that doesn't like inexpensive stuff. The fact is, they are junk, even for the amount of money they cost.
