Trying to get 2 ohms...

Ok, here's the setup: two JL 12W3 D4's and a JBL 1200.1.

Ideally I'd like to have this system running both speakers at 2 ohms, ie 600~ watts to each sub.

Hooking these subs up mono in series results in a 4 ohm load, and hooked up mono in parallel results in a 1 ohm load. Just having one sub hooked up in parallel results in a 2 ohm load. so....

If I were too hook up each speaker in parallel and then run it stereo, should I be able to run each speaker at 2 ohms with this amp, or does it not work like that? Sorry if this is a newbie question.

just run the JBL 12001 at 1 ohm...does the same power into 1 ohm as it does 2 ohm.

It won't make it get too hot?

It won't do 1 ohm, even though it says it will (at least mine wouldn't)
