Need updated ideas, audio knowledge inside please

I am looking for 2 10" subs, to go into a ported box, with roughly 1-1.3 cubic ft space, per each sub, Not a chambered Box, so basicly a 3 foot cubic space area, lots of room.

I need 2 10's, and an amp to power it. Looking for something with some insane bass, enough so people definitly hear me comming.

My only experience of bass is my 1984 New Yorker, I have a Kenwood 350 watt amp, Pioneer DEH-1500, and 2 12" Clarion's, Now I have 2 12" JL's

Can someone give me an idea on 2 10", and an amp to power. Not looking to kill my wallet, hoping for around $150-$200 each sub and somewhere around $450-$600 for amp.

Basicly everything under $1000

I have everything else I need, Just curious on amp/subs

Thanks everyone

for $1000 CDN you can probably be really happy with what you get. I would suggest only getting one 10 and using the whole 3 cubic feet for a ported box.

heres my suggestions:

that price is in canadian currency

im sure you've heard of the brahma its an excellent sub

wire your sub in parallel for a 1 ohm load and you wont know what hit you.

honestly, you think its just one 10 but with a well designed box and that much power that one 10 will make it hard to breathe inside the car.

amp=about $500 CDN after exchange and duty etc
sub=$410+shipping which shouldnt be too much

Ok.. so 1 10" sub, and a mono amp to power?

what would be a good rms watt rating, for my sub, and my amp so that 1 10", like said above, will make it hard to breath?

well that jbl amp is good for 1300-1400 watts rms with a good electrical system

and the brahmas are rated at 1600 rms but will reach xmax with that 1300 watts

i would only suggest, getting 1 10" sub if it was a high quality one like a brahma, otherwise go with 2 10's but less is sometimes better. its not about how many watts you have or how many subs, its about how well they're installed

I'd try a 12 such as a brahma or ED 12A ported tuned 26-30 htz in a 1.5 cu ft sealed
