Did you throw away the instructions? I did and I never got the thing together right, so I bought a 1.5 DIN radio that fits in the factory radio location without any modification.
The second one is the model I got:

some kits give you about a 100pieces but thats for universal ones. No matter what one you got look at the instructions for that car that came in with the mounting kit. To see where you got to mount the mounting tabs. If you happend to get the same kit i had then maybe i can help what kind is it??
then the sleeve of the aftermarket deck slides into the mounting braket then you bent the tabs in so it cant come out. Then you bolt the adaptor to the dash like in the instructions. Then you plug the harness to the deck then slide the deck into the decks sleeve, untill you hear a click. to get it out you need the keys from the deck.
dont forget most adaptors say top on the aproprate side so follow that..incase you didnt notice it there.
