I'll tell you my experience with Vison"ik"

My wife has a '93 MX6. I hooked up an Alpine 25x4 bridged 70 x2 amp (that used to be in my '92 RS) to a Jensen 8" DVC bass tube that my friend gave me.

It sounded OK, but she wanted more bass. So I was browsing through a Crutchfield catalog and saw two 12" Visonik subs in a box, and after the 35% off sale, it cost $200 shipped to my door.

I hooked it up and it sounded no better than the Jensen tube. Needless to say I sent it back (one of the reasons I love Cruthfield) and hooked the bass tube back up.

A couple of weeks went by and I came across a guy that had two 12" Kicker Comps (not VR) that he wanted to swap me for some IROC wheels I had. I went to the local stereo shop and bought a 2 cu.ft. box made from 3/4" MDF for $60.

After hooking it up, I had to turn the gains on the amp DOWN below the 2V of the HU because the bass was so strong my wifes door panels were rattling too much.

Same amp, same Blaupunkt head unit. No other changes other than the subs.

That's what I think of Visonik, and why.
