Speaker help... I haven't a clue!!!
Hi... My car has a JVC KD-SX770 in it that was there when I got it a little over a year ago. Right now, it has the stock speakers in it and when you turn up the volume, they sound bad. I want new speakers, but don't want to put alot of $ in it. Does anyone have any suggestions without having to go with amps, subs, etc? Thanks!! Don't have to give myself a headache, just want to hear the tunes with the t-tops out.

Any aftermarket speaker will basically sound better than what you have now.....I would say that JL speakers would be suitable for the money they cost. I have Infinity Perfect 6 x 9's and 4 x 6's I bought off of Ebay and they are AWESOME!!!!! Whatever you do....buy from ebay....BEST DEALS OUT THERE!!!!!!

I have Boston Acoustics for my home theater and love them. I found some on e-bay and was wondering if they are any good...?? The front are plates (746) and the 6x9's are FX93.
Thanks guys as I am totally lost on this subject! Haven't kept up with the new audio stuff since high school.....

The 746 plates are in my opinion, some of the best sounding 4x6s available. It's a shame that they discontinued them a couple years ago. I went to hell and high water to get a pair after they were discontinued. I've got a pair in my Jimmy and I have a pair in my GTA, and you can bet they'll be pulled out of the GTA before I sell it. I'm not sure what in particular it is about those 746s that I like so much. They don't sound *great*, but they are definately better than most 4x6s I've seen.
Anyway, now that I'm done with that tangent... I'm usually the type of person that recommends that you always listen to speakers before buying anything (and this is no different), but I still haven't found a Boston Acoustics speaker that I didn't love the sound of.
