rear sub box sound

rear sub box sound
ok, im in the process of building a rear sound system, i dont know if i should go through the trouble and build a custom box in the compartment, or just buid a peice of wood to fit in that compartment, wich will sound beter?? or what will hit harder?

Build one for the WHOLE well......The only way that building just a cover piece is if you fiberglass the well. Check mine out....149.00 total (with shipping)

Plate sub setups are usually horrible... unless you have free air subs.
3/4" MDF is the easiest to do. Make sure you seal all the seams up good and use the whole hatch area.
FIberglassing is the best, but is sorta complicated to do without some practice first.
