Advise me on a decent alarm/remote start

This is for my wife's car, she parks in a downtown parking garage, last year her CD player got yanked, right next to her car was her co worker's BMW with the blinking red LED on the dash and his wasn't touched.

I want remote start because she walks there by herself after work.

I don't need a remote pager, just basic audible with LOW sensitivity as we can't stand car alarms that go off for little reason, the blinking LED, remote lock/unlock and start.

I have had prices ranging from $599 for a VIper (forgot which model) to a $399 Viper (again, don't know the model) to a $350 Audiovox. All these prices are installed. Have heard from one person that the Audiovox was a good deal/alarm.
