I'm looking for a better tv antenna. I have a film antenna on the car. I'm looking for an antenna that works better at speed. I was watching rides the other night and saw an installer at 310 putting in a tv antenna in a suv for the actor Chicago. I didn't catch the type (something 3-plex I think). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

how many channels could you possibly recieve with the tv anyhow. besides your basic news channels and public broadcasting is there anything worth while. isn't it pretty much like an old tv set at home with rabbit ears?

 

why in he|| would you wanna watch regular tv in your car, i mean you can do that enough at home, if i'd wanna watch anything it would have to be a dvd

I mainly use it if I am in a drive-thru or on the highway. City traffic is a little tougher. Yeah, it is like the old TV set at home with rabbit ears, but, instead of having your kid brother hold them just right to get a good picture, you are running with them at 60 mph. In Oklahoma, we have terrible weather. I bought the setup so I could see an actually radar image on the news in case of a tornado or hail, and it works great for that. Plus, it's great for wasting time while waiting for the girlfriend. If there were a really good antenna that would improve the reception, I would buy it.

As far as a DVD, if I go on a long trip I will throw in the PS2 and watch a DVD.

 

i think it makes perfect sense and seeing as how the equipment is there why not have the option....as for an answer to your question though can't you run a similar based antenna that you would for your radio??

Well HI only has 7 stations you can get on non-cable tv.

 

who needs tv when you live in hawaii......i'll trade you my 30 stations for your warm climate!
