will a 91-92 radio...

will a 91-92 radio...

work in my 87 Camaro? Could I directly jut plug it in?

No. The wire harness that plugs into the radio are different. They changed the plug design in 1989. Check out Radio Shack for a aftermaket fix for the plug. Its just a pain to change all the plug wires.

Nope it will not just plug right in, unless you want to chop up your wires, witch I do not think w9ould be a good idea:nono:

The Shack I called was clueless, could you be more specific about this plug ? Thx....also I am putting an '89 head unit with steering wheel controls into a '87, Will this work, will the steering wheel control cause any problems in the non steering wheel control car ?....thx again

I would go someplace like best buy and get two harnesses. One will be the harness for your 87 (male that will plug into the harness in your 87). One will be a REVERS harness for a 91-92. This harness is like the female one the car that would plug into the 91-92 radio. Use the two and make an adapter.
