My kenwood amp when ever i turn on my stereo it makes an awful popping sound and whining which it never did before i know the problem is with the RCA ports on the amp. My question is where can i find replacement parts for my amp. I opend it up and got the part numbers off the broken board.

After i put it back togheter i thgoht it might work but it didnt and now my EQ wont turn on so i think it blew the inline fuse to the EQ. How ever my headunit still works even tho i have no sound. Any i deas on this one?

 

Well first there are no part numbers on the board, only location numbers. Without the service manual those number will not help you much. You said broken board, is it cracked? Second, how do you know what parts are bad? The only thing that goes wrong with most RCA inputs is that if the amp gets smacked hard at the RCAs it will brake off the leads. With the EQ, is this one of these “booster EQs”? Check it for B+, Rem, and ground. Did you have a good ground to the amp? Did you disconnect the ground with the RCAs plugged in.

 

ITs the RCA connectors that are bad i took a corner hard and the amp went with it and im pretty sure it messed up the rca jacks when ever i would plug the rca jacks into the A side no matter what it would go crazy and start popping when i would plug it into the B side it would work fine until i hit a bumpy road or it just wanted to act up. I think i might brake down and buy a new amp.
The borad it self is in perfect condition only bad thing is the rca jacks on it. When i took it apart everythign seemd like it was in good working order i didnt see anything wrong but i know its the rca jacks,
