i do agree, just figured i'd say that i love em. not much $$, and worth every penny. i am gonna have HD5.35" compents in front and 6.5" ones in the rear and then a 4" set of HD's in the dash. then a pair of HD12's. all being powered by caydence's amps.

Popular components. I think they are made by Vifa. I haven't heard the same sort of praise for their subs as I have for their components. With inexpensive stuff like ED and Adire out there making subs, CDT isn't likely to have something that can compete in the same price category.

if they are infact made by vifa you could probably buy vifa speakers from partsexpress and save yourself some money.

They aren't the same as the standard Vifa line... they're made specifically for CDT. That being said, they aren't much different than some of the standard Vifa stuff.

You can ALWAYS buy raw drivers from PE or Madisound and get far better sound for the money IF (this is a huge if) you can build a good crossover. Buying some generic crossover won't work. Unless you're going to run an active filter with separate amplification to all drivers, you've got to have a good crossover. A lot of guys are buying components from Madisound and paying for them to design a crossover for the selected equipment.

In my next go-round, I'm going to build my own components, and down the road I may trade my 2 channel amp for a 4 channel and run an active filter. Between that and my 1/3 octave eq's, there's really no reason to run passive filters.

well i would like to keep them all the same, from my compents to my subs. i'm going with Cadence amps. thats why i'd ask about there subs. becase they hit plenty hard enough for me.

what do u guys think about my idea?

I think the idea of keeping everything within the same brand needlessly limits your options. There's absolutely no advantage in sticking with one particular brand, especially if you can get better stuff for less money (i.e. adire, RE, ED, etc).
