One fifteen inch sub in well?

Yeah i know the search button, But you cant search using 15. SOo
Has anyone on here made or seen a box using one 15 that sits as much as possible in the well? Im looking at several 15s right now and since i recently got a good alarm im thinking of making a single 15 sub box.
Any ideas? Pics? etc?

I once took measurements for a 15 in that mannor. It will work, but the sub will end up at an interesting angle.

Take a 15 inch wide circle of cardboard and just do some test fitting. See how it would work. Leaving room for the depth of the sub of course.

hmmmmmmm, i was out messing with measurments and after seeing all the angles and that after the box is made and in place their will be no room for anything else im now thinking on MAYBE a mini wall type box with my amps mounted on the back. This would leave the well free for anything i needed to pick up. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm , I need to tint my back window and take a look at adire's site.

Someone with a black 'Bird had a single 15 in their car. It was a lightening audio sub. It was an awesome car with some very unique chrome or polished aluminum wheels. Looked awesome, but I can't remember the name. Maybe someone else does...

thanks ill try to search for the car. Im thinking of making two fiberglass boxes for my car, one for the glove compartment area for maybe a 10 and one for the spare tire area for a 15. The spare tire area box will have to come out kinda like on this pic to fit a 15. Then a fiberglass amp rack in the well. sound good?

I was always told that you want to keep the size of the subs the same since the cone size difference will make them hit at different speeds and freqs?

Yeah i heard something like that but i like the idea of having the 15 and the 10. I could put the 15's amp on a switch so if i only wanted a normal amount of bass i could turn it off and only have the 10 for bass.

Seems kind of like a waste of money, space, and weight if you're only gonna use it part of the time. I think I would just go with a 15" and then if you want less bass just up the faders built into the head unit to pull bass out.
