amp in the well?

Would the amp go best in the bottom of the well or should i put in on the inside "wall". Any concerns with mounting in the well, no subs yet but with this amp (Pioneer GM X374) maybe a little 10" in a small box down the road, for now it is just for my 6x9s.

Thanks
