seeking advice for new system
New to the car audio deal, looking for good sound and tight bass with a easy/factory install, thinking of combining the following for around $750 total (all new components). I just want it clean and loud without breaking the bank (usually listen to rock music).
Alpine CDA9830 receiver
Alpine s-series 6x9s sps690a
Kenwood 4X6s (2 way) kfc4675c
Kenwood kac7201 amp (150 x 2)
2 - 10" Alpine Es
* also looking for suggestions on Sub box
Thank you for your thoughts or advice...

What you have will be fine. A word of advice though, when you remove the factory speaker plugs, try to leave 1.25" "pig-tail" so you can re-use. You never know when you might need them. An 8ga. amp kit will be plenty for what you have. The sub-box choices will be included in the paperwork with the subs. If you want simple just build a sealed box, the paperwork will probably recommend .5-.75 cubic feet per sub. A ported box will give you a little more bass but will be a bigger box, .8- 1.25 cubic feet per sub. The directions to build both will be with the subs. A tip on setting the gain on the amp- It"s not a volume ****. With the head unit you have you shouold'nt have to turn it past half way, 2-2.5 volts. good luck.
