anyway to get the optional subwoofer switch for a GTA

I have an 88 GTA, and Ive noticed on the edge of the dash there's one last place for a switch. In one of the other posts it shows that it held a factory optioned speaker/subwoofer boost switch. Is there anywhere I can get that switch, or is it near impossible to find? Id use it to control the bass boost on the amp to my subs (sounds like a good idea to me) So, any ideas on where to start looking?

That switch has been discontinued by GM, so the only ones avail are used. Maybe a junk yard or ebay will have one.

you should be able to adjust your woofer through your head unit. I know clarion and alpine you can do it. Along with prolly anything with a subwoofer channel. As far as gain goes...Will it even work with a aftermarket amp? Why dont u just buy an amp that has it? Or rig something up.

I know head units can control amp boost.....I was planning on using the stock switch to run the variable boost available on some amps, such as kicker or RF...

Good thought, any one got one of the controls that can check the resistance? I can compare that to the RF remote. Keep in mind that most remotes (like the RF) use two variable resistors. Kenwood uses a switch to add 6, 9, and 12 db.
