Need some help

I went to install a Pioneer CD player in my '89 RS tonight. I got all the wires connected and... nothing. I looked at the fuse in the radio harness, nothing. I looked at the fuse under the dash, nothing. I took a test light and found I'm not getting current to the Battery line going to the radio. I'm out of ideas. Does anyone know what might have caused this? The car was in a wreck 4 years ago (nothing really bad, but alot of BS with the insurance company because the jack asses totaled it, anyway) the same Pioneer radio was in there and worked fine. Please help me out.

Just do like I did, run your own wire from the battery. Works everytime

oh dont forget you need to put a fuse in that line if you go this route, i'm using a 5watt fuse. Works great.

Yeah that was my next route, either that or finding a wire under the dash and splice into it.

Either way will work, but definately it will work much better on its own independant line. Only because it needs to be fused it would be much better to run a new line.
