need help

I have no power in my head unit. Yesterday I took it out to rearrange some of the wires to make it fit in the dash better because it wasnt very secure. but now my head unit dosnt do anything. it dosnt light up or make any sound what so ever. I dont know what to do now. I checked and rewired all the wires going into it checked the fuse in the back of the head unit. Yesterday I was pressing on the front putting it in place but I cant imagine that I put enough pressure to break anything. I'm completly confused. I have a voltmeter but im not sure how to use it. Any help or ideas would be greatly apprecitated.
or if somone could tell me how to use the voltmeter.

yellow wire = 12volts ign switched, orange = 12volt constant, black = ground, put voltmeter on dc setting , put one lead of meter to ground , check the orange and yellow with other lead.

check the fuse in the fuse box under the dash.

to use the voltmeter(if it is one with 2 wires) connect one to a ground(you can use your stereos ground in most cases), and connect teh positive lead to the power source...if it lights up, you have voltage, if not...you do not.

thanks for your help. It was a fuse under dash. I just didnt think that would be the problem because normally when ive had a radio fuse problem the dome light and other electronic device wouldnt work. any way thanks.
