speakers cut out

speakers cut out

hey guys not too long ago my spekers stopped playing (front and rear) everynow and then they work but sometimes when i go over a bump they cut out and stop playing anybody know what this is or how i could fix. i have a pioneer cd player dont know the model though

Get the model number.
Check ALL of your speaker connections. All it takes is one of them going to ground or B+ and all the speakers will cut out. DON’T use the radio till the problem is fix, it could and probably will kill the HU if you let it go. FIX IT NOW!

The only time I've experienced that problem was when the engine ground strap broke. So I took a battery cable of suitable length and ran it from the A/C bracket to a bolt on the fender. No more problemos

id definatly say you have a bad connection on your speakers or your cd player is skipping really bad..LOL...but you need to check all the connections on your speakers and your head unit and make sure they are good and not grounding to something else like said above

ok guys see here is the problems about checking the wires. the guy i bought the car off hooked up the hu and it looks like he did a hack job wires are all spliced and i have no clue where the wires go and it is hard to get at them.
how can i check the ground,speaker wire,power wire and all the other stuff mentioned in the previous replies?

get a digital multi meter and check the wires one at a time is about all you can do or see if trickster on here has a wiring diagram for the factory wires and then check the wiring diagram for the head unit off the net by looking up the partnumber
