System cutting out

I've had my system in for about a week, and about a day ago I was on my way home when it suddenly started cutting out. The CD player and everything turned off and then back on. I notcied that my voltage dropped below 12. Could my alternator be going? The voltage would normally stay between 13 and 14 up until a day ago when it started acting up. What should I do?

more than likely thats what it is, you dont have enough power to run everything you have. and having a system can really put a drain on you're alternator. if it really starts getting bad, take you're alternator to a parts shop like autozone and they can put in a little machine to check to see if its any good.

Any other suggestions? Also, I think if its bad, I'll get a new one from Autozone.
