When I decided to shave my antenna, I first went out to bestbuy in search of the answers as to possible solutions to an antenna. Everyone there didn't know their *** from the brain so I left. My next stop was to circuit city. I walked to the audio/car installation section and talked with the guys back there. They said I could try this Amplified Window Mount Antenna. (which was about $55) It looks like a 4 by .5 inch box with two wired coming from it reaching about 8ft. (I think) One wire was the antenna source and the other was the 12v amplified source. I ran the wire under the dash and up the passenger Piller(behind it) and mounted it horizontally at the top right of the windshield. It's amazing how unnoticable it is from both outside and in! The only way you can see it is if you knew about it and really scrutinized the windshield from the inside only and from the outside, the black part up the wildshield makes this thing invisible. Ok, enough about how it looks and how I installed it. The quality of reception is definitely the same if not better than the stock antenna location. I live in a bad reception area so other alternative's to relocating the antenna was not acceptable. I didn't want a decrease in already bad reception just to save a few bucks nor did I want to bend the antenna from its stock location up along the fenderwell or try and lay down the antenna under the dash board. This was the best and a pretty easy solution for me and I would recomend it to anyone. Goodluck.

Oh, and people have to really calm down with the "Do a search" replies on this forum. The purpose of a forum is to ask question and share information, not to act like cocky a**holes; Is it not? I did a search on this topic about a month ago and was unable to find suitable information.

Its not a hard thing to do. Click the little button and search. Besides, a half blind retard could shave his ant easily. Whats the point in starting a thread on a subject thats been talked about 93382498321458 times.

hey hey easy now he's still a runt he only has 13 post i mean come on give the kid some slack... anyway i know what your saying about the box thing it is installed factory stock on like the newer grand prix and stuff right? now they have it in the back window.... not really noticable but i was wondering if you were to put in on our hugh back window would it make any differenct on the clarity of the radio or is it going to be the same ol' fuzz that you usually get, or will it just be a pain in the @$$ to install and hide all the wires.

It's not a pain in the *** to install and run wires. Also, you can put it in the rear window if you have enough wire slack but it would most likely create the same reception. My reception isnt fuzzy though.

Chill a little people.

br()bert, I understand that it is frustrating when people do not search and just cause clutter, but be nice and chill a bit

Dirtbik3r, your post about a shaved antenna actually appeared in that post that br()bert linked to with lots of good information on the antenna, so while it may of been true a month ago, your post fixed that
