Looking at 2 HeadUnits, RCA Line Out Question
I am looking at 2 jensen head units and one (200 watt version) says it has :
RCA LINE OUTPUT (1.5V) & SUBWOOFER OUTPUT
The other (180 watt version) says it has:
2 PAIR RCA LINE OUTPUT (3V)
Is this the same thing? Can't I use the second RCA lin output to go to the subwoofer? I got the 180 watt version and I just noticed this now, its the CDH900.
Thanks, Suke

It doesn't sound like it is exactly the same thing. Usually when a line out is labeled a sub out it means that the head unit has some sort of gain or x-over control that is dedicated to that out to control the subs performance. You can use a regular line out to go to a sub woofer you will just have to make all adjustments at the amplifier. Hope this helps.

The dedicated sub out is usually non-fading, where as the one with a front and a back output would change the levels of your sub when you mess with your fader. The 3v outputs are a little nicer too.
