Input On Speaker Choice!!! - LOOK

I have front 6-1/2" Pioneer TS-A1680R 4 ways and for the rear, I have the same type of speaker in 6"x9" 4 ways. So.. here is my question. I had these in my old car and pulled them out. I can use them in the camaro because I bought kick panels from crutchfield. So, with about 300-350 to spend, what should I do? Sell them and buy components? or just get an amp? Please any input is appreciated(including different suggestions).

Also, if i run these speakers, is it worth it to put better ones in the factory location under the dash pad?

Unless you have a high quality headunit, get an amp. As for the 4x6s, you can leave them in if you get an amp and just run them off the headunit. This way you can balance them with the rest of the system. I'd keep them relatively low compared to the 6.5s and 6x9s. Personally, I'd just toss them.

Are the speakers you have (the 6 1/2's and the 6x9's) the stock ones that came with your car? I got an 86 Trans Am and my speakers need to be replaced (I think). Whenever I go around a corner, the side that I cornered on shorts out. That and the front passenger speaker is dead. Any suggestions for speakers? I'm not really into the having ridiculously big amps trend, I just want nice speakers.

As for you Dirtbike, I'd put the speakers in the factory locations. 1, you know there's already a spot for them where they will fit, and 2, I think the locations work fine, you get real good sound cuz you got the two in front and two pretty much right behind your head.

KnghtRider97,

The speakers that I talked about above are not the stock speaker's.

I mentioned that I bought Q-logic kickerpanel speaker holders from http://crutchfield.com.
(It's Dirtbik3r btw)

Having an amp with speaker's is totally different than having an amp with subs. It sounds like you've been previously misinformed about this subject. But, getting to the point, In order to have "good speakers," you need an amp. Your stereo deck cannot support it.

cuz you got the two in front and two pretty much right behind your head.
The front speakers are 4"x6" I believe. They are extremely small and outdated. Even if you replace them with aftermarket. That is why I was asking on what to do about this matter with my car.

Whenever I go around a corner, the side that I cornered on shorts out.
I'm no expert, but I would bet on three things:
1) Your speaker wire(where it enterer's the speaker) has a bad connection.
2) Your radio harness behind your deck is shot and contains bad connections.
3) Your car twists when you turn. So It could possibly slightly jiggle around your speaker wires. This applies to the above two suggestions.

Ok, now back to my post. ^ Read above ^ Any suggestions....? Anyone?

Should I?

A) Keep my existing (aftermarket Pioneers) speaker's and purchase an amp? If so, what amp?

OR

B) Sell my existing (aftermarket pioneers) speaker's and purchase new ones? If so, what component speaker's?
