New Subs needed
Hello All,
For my subs I have 2 10" pioneer Premier subs that are 700watt peak 350watt rms. They are each being powered by their own Kenwood 1000watt amp. Here is the deal. I am getting more of a Thoque sound then a Thud sound that subs should make. I figure its due to the overwhelming amount of volume I have in the enclosure. The subs call for 1.15cfm and I am giving them 1.75cfm. I was thinking of pulling the 10's and replacing them with 12's.
I have 3 options.
Alpine Type S 12" subs
Infinity 1230 12" subs
Pionner Premier 12" subs
Reason I am going with cheaper alternatives rather then goign all out and getting Type R or that new mamoth Type X (that thing is scarry) is that I don't think I need that much power. It just anoys me when I have 3 times the system as my buddy in his golf yet his car has alot more humm then mine.

i say alpine or infinity, but i have have never heard pioneer premeirs, so its kinda a blind judgement. HOWEVER go to you local stereo store and ask about PBX (powerbass xtreme) There evolution series is great. I sell them at the store i work at here. Its a lesser known brand, but they are picking up speed, and with a 3 year warranty, whats not to like? And if you want even more ask for the PowerBass Xtreme Xtremes. yes, there are 2 xtremes in there. they kick ***. If they say that they dont sell them, tell them if they order from dragon dist. then they can sell them. they shouldnt be any more than any of the three you just listed. But if you gotta have the name brand, then ignore all but the first sentence.
