Antenna
On my '90 TA GTA my electric antenna is out. It no longer goes up and down, just stays up. Is there a place where the complete set or motor and antenna can be purchased?

If you can hear the antenna motor when you turn the car on or off is the plastic that pulls the antenna up and down, they brake after a while. There is a kit to fix this, but it uses every thing else from your old antenna setup. & how reliable can a 15 year old motor be?
What I did is that I bought the antenna new form GM. I think that the price is colse to the $190's but if you go and tell them you are coming from another dealer they will give you a better price. They will ask you for the dealers name, adress, & phone number. You tell them that you are coming on behalv of the dealer, if they ask you if you work there just tell them that you have a family member that works there or that you are a costumer and they sent you. If the dealer you picked has an acount with them they wont eaven charge you taxes, if not you only get what they call dealer discount. I think I paid close to $130's for the antenna.
Ill go home and look at the box where mine came in & look at the recipt so that I can give you the exact part number & price.
hope this helps

Well, my antenna has not worked for two years but it was stuck in the up position. I had to disconnect it at the relay or it would run all the time. In order to remove it I had to cut off the mast so a rebuild kit was out of the question. The dealer had an atenna that he said fit 82 to 92 Camaros, Firebirds ect, ect. Just by looking at it I could see it would not fit. He kept looking at his computer screen and showing me the pics. He came up with this part (#22048583) number. They didn't have one in stock so he called "Factory Motor Parts" (FMP) (which I had never heard of) and they had one. I think that them FMP store's are for old GM parts. I paid for the part at the dealer ($69.00 with discount) and went to the will call desk at FMP and picked up the part and man was it in an old style box. I split the antenna motor housing (20 yrs old) and everything look like new. The new mast assy did not have the small bracket for the lower mounting rod so I cut the bracket off of the old one and had it welded (freebee) on the new mast assy. Stuck it all together and man it works like it did when the ride was new.
