No sound
Wired up a JVC hu today and went to try it out and I had no sound , but I the unit did in fact have power, it turned on, found a radio stat ion, and I watched the equilizer going, so in my mind I should have sound. I then doubled checked the speaker wiring, and made sure that the connections were right, everything checked out.
To my knowledge, even with blown speakers you will still, get something coming out. I don't know. I'm going to rewire the front speakers with new wire tomorrow, hoping that maybe my wires are jacked up.
Plus the hu doesn't have a mute, I already looked.
Any help would be greatly appreicated.

You're on the right path, seems to me somewhere along the stock wiring is cut/grounding out somewhere. I know in mine, if even one speaker is grounding out (wire touching body/metal) none of the speakers will work. So check all the wiring over again. There's nothing else that would be a culprit.
