12'' kenwood blue typhoons

just wondering if anyone knows anything about these subs i belive they are 300 RMS not quite sure.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...728277556&rd=1

i believe thats the one, does anyone know how well they perform, and how is the quality, i bought 2 of them with sub enclosure for 100 bux and have been sitting in my room for the most part of this yr. its just mainly ill need an amp to power them properly and well i just havn't gotten around to it. Mainly because i would like to finally end up with 2 12's yes i know lil bit much for our cars but i like to goto SLP everynow and then but still have quality. Hoping for something around 140 db's. i doubt the kenwoods would be able to hit around there but i don't know much about them. So any info good/bad spl and quality would be appreciated.
because what i would eventually like to do is build a fiber glass enclosure, holding amps, and subs all in the back. and well if they are somewhat decent ill use them for my initial build and upgrade subs or keep them

i personally don't like them, but i will tell you that i had a pair of 10s that i put in 3/4cu. ft. per sub, and put about 1000wrms on them, and they took 20 minutes of bass tracks, rap, and any other abuse i could throw at them.

on a more realistic note, they sounded horrible, with moderate power, were very underwhelming, and i've never seen a pair last more than 1 year under any circumstances.

i had two 10s that came with my cutlass

in about 1.25 cf sealed each.

sounded decent for entry level subs with a 300 watt amp i suppose.

ran my viper 2500d to them....225 watt subs took 1250 clean watts each for about 10 days. Then i had it turned up too high for about two minutes straight and one blew. The other is still fine though

there are better subs out there but if you're curious give them a try...90% of the good sound is in the box

i didn't try to kill them, think of it as a demonstration of quality.
