Need some sub wiring help
Ok, I just got a new amp and some new subs...
AMP: 1500W Punch P5002
Subs: (2) 1000W Volfenhag ZX-4712 DVX
I need to know the best way to hook them up since the subs have 2 voice coils. I have a pic that shows me how to hook them up, but I don't know which would be best. I want the most outta these subs, so which should I do, and how exactaly?
thanks guys,
James
Please, no Volfenhag haters, these were a gift from my fiancee

If thats a 2 channel amp then I would go 2 ohm.. I think that would yield the most power, not an expert someone correct me if im wrong..

Thats how mine was wired, had no issues. it was a cerwin DVC just slaped wires from + to + and - to - from one VC to the other and wired it up. I suggest soldering them offcourse. read your amp specs and make sure it is 2 ohm stable... I ran mine like that anyway but thats because it was a cheap amp and I didnt care.. but it was wired like that for a year with no problems... until the ground came out on the amp.. let the smoke out lol.

Im not familiar with the amp but most higher end amps are 2 ohm stable or even 1. 2 ohms is your best bet to wire. Especially since you have 2 channels.
