anyone have a picture or physically own a thirdgen with a stereo in a different location from stock?

 

Jim kinda does, he put a DVD player where the center vents are.

 

is that the only documented movement that anyone knows of? i'll have to look it up, but i'd still like to see more ideas if they are out there. thanks.

 

I don't really know anywhere else that's practical. In the passenger-side dash or under the console lid, but those would just be a pain!

Why exactly do you want to move it?

ideas... suggestions.. right now i have lcds for the cameras laid out where the heater/HU is so i'm trying to figure out the best location for the radio. with remote control technology a standard HU doesn't have to be right in plain sight anymore so that isn't a concern. just curious if anyone has done anything different out there with the thirdgens as the glove box and where the center vents are would be the only thing i've found so far.
