Pioneer set of wires missing the blue power antenna wire

Ok, I have a Pioneer DEHP4500MP. It was used, and missing the set of wires/power for it, so I ordered them online from Pioneer. I also got the GM wiring adapter for my 88 IROC. I matched up all the wires and everything works, BUT the set of wires from the pioneer seems to be missing the blue antenna wire.

It does have a blue wire w/ white stripe but I don't think that's for the power antenna? Is there any way I could rig it up or something? If what I'm saying even makes sense.. If not, I can try to clarify

Thanks

That's the activation wire for adding an amp. U may be able use that... some HUs (especially older 1s) don't have a separate lead for the power antenna.

The only concern I would have about doing that way is the current draw... activation wire outputs from HUs are notoriously weak. I would get a multimeter and set it to read amperage. Connect the + lead to the red power lead going to the HU and connect the - lead to the wire that leads to the antenna (this will trigger the antenna to rise). If it's below 300mA or so (.3A), u should be okay... if not, u could wire up a relay that will be triggered by the blue/white wire. Or u could connect the antenna to the yellow wire that tells the HU to shut off when the car is shut off. The problem w/ that is the antenna would be up anytime the car is on -- whether the radio is on or not.

Thanks for the help. I went ahead and tried it and it works perfectly so far. The blue/white wire had a little plastic connector on the end, but i just snipped it off and then spliced the blue and blue/white together. In the installation manual PDF I downloaded for the head unit it refers to the blue/white wire as "to system control terminal of the power amp".

So the only thing I'm left wondering about is about how doing it this way might affect my ability to include an amp and sub later on down the road.?

yeah there isnt a prob using blue with white stripe basically it just supplies the ant. w/ 12volts when the deck is in Tuner/CD/AUX mode where if it was a blue wire with no stripe it should lower the antenna once you switch from tuner to cd.
