Sail Panels Part 3

Well, it has been a while since I have posted on the progress of my sail panels. I have sanded them down and primered them up. One of them has the spot filler primer on it and the other has a coat of semi-gloss black paint. It is what I had lying around at the time. They aren't perfect. There are some pits in them and a few other minor things but I am not to worried about that. I may go through and fix them at a later time but for now I actually think they look pretty good. Not sure if I am going to stay with the semi-gloss paint or go full gloss. I will just have to wait and see. Here are some pics of them. The first set is of the one with the spot filler primer on it.

And here is the one that is painted. I had to sand it back down after I took the pics since there was a run in the paint and a smudge as well but you can see kind of how it turned out.

I still need to go and cut out the hole for the tweeter since it will be flush mounted. I hope to do that this week and get them finished up and installed back in the car. I will post more pics once they are finished and installed in the car.

Don't use gloss black. If they don't look absolutely perfect with satin, they'll look terrible with gloss.

Have you considered carpeting them? Carpet hides everything.

I want to have them painted. They arent terribly bad and if you just look at them while in the car you would think they look great. Just when you do something yourself, you know where the flaws are. I may try to fix it up a bit to make it look better or I may leave it for now so I can work on other projects. I will post more as this project progresses.

what woofers did you have in mind? I assume they will be one-way woofers... no tweets back there, right?
