no memory

no memory

real quick... if i am getting 12V at the memory wire going to my stereo, and my stereo wires are hooked up right, and my stereo loses memory with the turning off of the key... doesnt this mean my stereo is shot? thanks.

AFAIK, yes. Make sure you have the +12v constant going to the correct wire on the radio, though. Could be a mistake somewhere there

i am positive its connected right which i was disappointed to find. i had to fix the speaker wires, they werent hooked up right, so it wouldnt fade or balance right. but this old things seen better days. i think its time for a replacement. thanks for the response.

a little update

i just installed a pioneer hu. and it does retain presets and time... so i am assuming the old tape deck was busted.
