I wanted the radio antenna gone, and so it is. My body guy said I just needed to buy a booster box of some sort to mount in the dash.
Daktoa Digital Booster?
Is that what I need? how does it work?
I'd like to get something that I can 100% conceal, nothing to run in the headliner or anything. Just some kind of booster box that connects to the radio or whatever to get a signal to it.
Also...is there a website somewhere that would tell me all the basics of setting up a car audio system? I just want 4 speakers that fit in the stock spaces that I can blast loud w/o destroying them. I don't want an subs...just loud, clear music. I don't need an amp for that right? I've got a pioneer 45w x 4 chan head unit in there but the CD player is on the fritz so I might just get a new HU instead of getting it fixed. I couldn't find any FAQ sticky on here...I know the front speakers are 4x6, what are the rears?

An answer to the antenna question: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=303597 I wouldn't know about a booster since I’ve never used one.
The rear speakers are 6x9's. Your best bet for choosing speakers is to go to a car audio shop (or best buy if that's your preference) and listen. Don't be too worried about power ratings (unless they get too high) because your head will only be feeding them around 22w rms.
If you really don’t want to have subs, then you should look into making or buying kick panels. A few people on the board will be making them soon or you can choose to get qlogic panels. Opinions vary on the qlogic offering.
A lot of these questions are addressed in some forum in the threads on this page. I suggest taking a step back and reading some since the same topics come up fairly often.

Just get an antenna, and shove it into the dash . It won't pick up as good as on the fender, but it should pick up the stronger stations. Booster won't work without an antenna attached.

Our ANT-1000 AM/FM (only) electronic antenna is designed to perform as well as a standard rod antenna with no external rod or arial. Requires 12 VDC.
Antenna dimensions: 3.5" long, 3/4" thick and comes complete with a 9' cable.
I imagine it would work, just not as well as a real antenna.
Well in several posts Kandied91Z has stated that the dakota digital booster did not work for him, that he tried every way possible to get a decent signal after he shaved his antenna and the thing that worked best was to shove the stock one under the dash.
Kinda seems odd that there is a decent product on the market to take care of this but whatever, I'll just run the stocker I guess.

There are plenty of places to run the stock antenna inside the car. Behind the dash or even hidden behind the headliner.

Im not sure if they still make them, but there is a type of antenna that is a then wire that has clear tape on it that runs across the top of ur windshield. You can only see it if your face is like 2 feet away from it. Check in JCW
