amp & subs

Quick run down of what I currently have:
Alpine head unit w/ only 1 pre-out
5 1/4 component speakers & 6 X 9 coaxial speakers
400W 4 channnel amp

I want to add some bass and I know someone who is selling 2 Audiobahn 12's w/ 400W RMS each & a RF Punch 400S 2 channel amp w/ 400W RMS X 1 @ 4 ohms in bridge mode. My question is will I be able to use this amp & subs w/ my current set-up, is this a good combo to add to my current set-up? I just want to make sure before I buy. I am not after being the loudest or anything like that, I just want to add a little bass to my current set-up. I dont know anything about wiring & stuff so I will have a professional do the install.

Thanks.

If those 12" subs are single voice coil and you run them in paralell with the amp you can bring that amp down to 2ohm bridged (it will take this as i used to own that exact same amp) trust me, it will make some nice deep bass. The punch series amp also has a bass booster remote which is handy so if you are listening to some music with too much bass you can dial it down...and if there is not enough bass then crank it up.

I think with a properly built box to fit those 2 12's, with that amp you will be happy with the outcome.

To get the max power out of the amp, you will need to run the wiring to the subs in a series/parallel way to get a 4 ohm load.
