Troubles with a Clarion Deck

Hello,

My boss just asked me a question about his CD Player in his truck. Its a clarion deck, not sure of the model number however its a 3 year old clarion deck. Slot load, 2 band perimetric eq, cd player. There is no visible model number on the faceplate and I didn' t have time to pull it to see if there is anything written on the cage anywhere. Anywho here is the problem

When you feed it a CD, wether CD-R or store bought CD...the deck right away says "Eject CD". The CD player came with the truck and this is the first time he has decided to try a CD in the unit. Any ideas...I think the deck is toasted however any advice of things that I can try would be greatly apreciated.

Sounds like the HU has a propblem.
Is it chucking all the way? If so it probably the optical pickup. Time for a new HU. Could try a cleaning, don't count on it helping.
