just replaced head unit, car wont start

just replaced head unit, car wont start

just installed a sony head unit and everything works fine except the car wont turn over, good battery power and everything

i think its the security system?

1992 rs

any ideas how to turn it off?

Just installing a HU won't make your car not turn over. You would have had to have cut a wire you weren't suposed to cut or do something along those lines to make your car not turn over.

Did you use a install harness or hack the wiring? Do the lights dim when you try to start it.

He did say he installed a sony though. .. but yea...you'd have to try really really hard to make the car not start by installing a HU.

there is a bunch of wires running to the shifter and when i installed the radio it popped the wires out of the harness ( so the car had no idea what gear the tranny was in) so the car wouldn't start

stupid mistake! very frustrating tho
