okay i have a Hifonics Zeus ZX8000 110 wattx4+300 watt amp. i hook it up to my clarion or pioneer and 2 soundstream subs and everything is going fine ten it just shuts off. so i checked the fuses and stuff and they were all good, so i checked the grounds and stuff. so now it turns on but wont power the subs. the green light goes on and doesnt go to protect, so im not sure the problem. it was working just fine and now nothing. I payed alot for this amp and i hope its not blown, i mean that would blow

Any amp will blow if you abuse it even if you do so accidentally.
Have you checked wiring to the subs to make sure that nothing's shorting, etc? Also, are you sure that it's getting a sound signal? NEEDAZ will probably have more input than this...

It's not going into protect? Start with just power. Remove the speaker wires and REMOVE THE RCA CABLES. Go back over the ground. What gage wire, did you sand down the metal? On the B+ side, what gage, how is it connected to the battery. Have you checked the voltage at the amp? Put the REM wire back on and power up the HU so the amp comes on. What's the voltage on the REM terminal (shouldn't matter to much). Any DC on the outputs? Now to the speakers, did you check them? What's their DC resistance? What ohm load do you have the amp wired to on each channel? Just some basic first in-car-tests to help determine where the problem is.
