The RMS power handling on those is 150 watts each. I need to know the impedance (ohms) of the sub for anybody to make a proper recommendation.

A bunch of things. First, you have this thread going in two spots. Give people some time to get back to you.

Anyway, the reason why both 1991 RS/SS and I asked about the sub's impendence is because we want to help you choose the best amp for your application. All amps are stable down to a certain load but that load varies with amp. Most are 2 ohm stable some are 1 ohm stable. Check out the bottom of the woofer and the sticker on the motor should tell you something (look for either a 2 or a 4).
If your subs are 2 ohm woofers then you can wire for either 1 or 4 ohms. If they’re 4 ohm you can wire for either 2 or 8. Your best bet is going to be to wire as low as possible, but again not all amps are 1 ohm stable.
Here are a few sub $200 amps that will put out more than enough power to pound your subs to their demise if you so choose.

None of those are top of the line but then again you’re not looking for that much power output, especially if you were satisfied with your friend’s sony amp. Any of those amps I just linked to will kick the poop out of it. Sony is overrated junk that can’t put out half of its rated power.
Honestly, go out and pick up a cheap amp. Any of those amps is overkill for your application.
