going to re-wire my camaro
alright well my amp has been shuting off after being on for like 10-30 seconds and sometimes wont even come on, but works fine when its on. im pretty sure it is because of the power wire b/c i have 4 gauge power wire and it is crimped in the middle under the carpet. i want to go ahead and rewire the power wire. how much power wire do you think i should get to go from the battery to the amp and should i go back with 4 gauge or not? i have like 8 gauge ground wire i think. do you guys think the power sorce is the problem. i mean i have checked the remote wire and ground wire thats the only thing i can think of. other than a fuse in the amp or the in line fuse in the power wire. or do you think its something internal with the amp?
here is a pic of the setup. dont say anything about the amp i know it is sony and i like it. it looks nice sounds sounds good to me so it wont change.

You should be fine on that power wire, 8 gage ground is a bad idea, make that 4 gage too. Make certain that the ground has a good connection. If all is good with the ground connection, well, you may like Sony but bad solder connection are vary common.
