memory
Im putting an aftermarket sony head unit in my rs and when putting it in i noticed that the cable for the memory did not connect right into the back of the radio, so when i adjust the radio settings and turn the car off all the settings go back to default. Whats up with this? Anyone had the same problem?

The constant +12 volt battery wire in the car is in a separate plug and not part of the main radio harness. I hope that you used a wiring harness adapter kit instead of chopping up your factory wiring, but in either case, you're looking for an orange wire that's part of a separate 2-wire connector, usually on the right side of the radio compartment. Sometimes the orange wire is by itself with that 2-wire connector, other times it's accompanied by a brown wire. If you were smart enough to buy a wiring harness adapter, it should have come with the piece that this 2-wire connector will plug right into. If you hacked your wiring, hack this one too and connect it to to the yellow wire on your new radio.
