JL Audio 4in Round for fronts?
I see they come with an adapter plate so that they can be used in the stock 4x6 area. Think they would sound better over a traditional 4x6?

I cant tell you if round is better than oval, but from my experience, JL has excellent products. Although many agree they are too pricy, I think you get what you pay for. The first amp I bought was the 4300e 4ch for my alpine type S speakers and its amazing. Never get any distortion. Their subs are all amazing so their speakers probably are as well. But dont forget, great sound wont only come from speakers, u need to amplify them. Deck amplifiers are not built for high performance audio. Keep your stock speakers if u dont get an amp.

I had 4" JL XR coaxes up front a couple years back, great speakers, but an absolute waste when stuck in a dash, the absolute worst location IMO. You would be further ahead getting an average set of components and a set of kickpanels.
