Axle/Gears: huh?? guessing stock.
new Eclipse HU.
well after fighting with my Carputer idea for about 2 months and STILL not being totally happy with it, I decided to yank it and go with a normal HU. so today I went out an bought an Eclipse CD5415. inital thoughat are nice unit. and since I already had my amps and speakers run all I had to hook up was the Power, ACC and Ground lines. then just plug in my RCA's.
I now see why people like the 5V rca outs. good god, I now need to turn down the gain on my amps a lot. I had a nice Alpine running these amps in a different car, and havent touched the gains since that deck, and now with the 5v rca's the levels are all to high. Not sure if I like the silver/grey on the unit, I wanted black, but alas I could not afford to drop more money for a unit that has more features that I dont need just cause it is black.

IMO Eclipse head units are the best. ive tried all different brands and the Eclipse ones always sound louder and cleaner. ive got a brand new 5303R sitting in my closet awaiting the day when i can afford to build a system around it

I've been training on the Eclipse products (Headunits, Speakers, AVN units, Subs, Amps, etc.) and my eyes are bleeding. But tpiVette89 is absolutely correct. Eclipse makes the best product on the market. Some swear by Alpine but Eclipse far outperforms any other radio on the market.
All of their components are made BY eclipse not some contracted company in China. All of the components are made with Sound Quality in mind. Their products are a little higher priced... but with VERY good reason. They spare no expense when making their product.
Wow that came out longer than I thought but if anyone has any questions let me know (While I don't pretend to be an expert I work at CCity and we are the only nation retailer to carry Eclipse.

Well yes, Fujitsu Ten is Eclipse's Parent company. Also owned in part by Toyota! First Eclipse radio was in an 195x (not sure the exact year) Toyota and now appear in Lexus vehicles.

i went hunting a HU bout a month ago, and i was hell bent on either eclipse or alpine. when i saw the new eclipse design, i thought they looked like total garbage, i'm sure the quality is still high, but they look horrible, like some kid threw a bunch of silver paint at it. what happened to the last generation of refined high quality sound units. i was in love w/ those, but i ended up buying an Alpine 9856 instead.
