Factory CD player GTA with wheel controls?

Does anyone know if a CD player for the GTA with steering wheel contols ever existed? I have an owners manual for my 89 that shows a CD player option, but have never seen it in any GTA. I would like to track one of these down if they do exist. I know the same steering wheel controls came on the bonnevile of that era as well. If some one could point me in the right direction with this that would be great!

Just to remove confusion, I would like to use a factory radio, not an aftermarket with a PAC interface.

I read somewhere on this site that the stock GTA steering wheel audio controls work only for the cassette deck. If a CD player was picked for an option the car was fitted with a standard T/A steering wheel (no audio controls).

That is true.

As far as I know nobody has gotten any CD player to work w/ the steering wheels control without the PAC controller.

If you do get it working, please post here and let us know what it took! I am assuming it is a later model AC Delco CD Player?
