Radio harness

I went to put a new radio in my car and who ever owned it before me cut the old harness out and used wire nuts on the radio . so i naturally want to fix it. will any plug out of any year third gen work or are there differences. any help would be great as i want this fixed soon.

??? Are you installing a stock radio, if so there are 2 different types of stock plugs depending on the year. If you are installing an after market radio it should come with the harness and all you have to do is have it professionaly installed or do it right on your own.

Well i wanted to put the stock harness in and then get one of those adapters that just plugs into that. because i'm not planning on keeping this radio for long.I dont want to have to rewire everytime

the harness you want should be on any 86 or newer fbody( or possably 84 or newer, it will be ONE plug, not three) camaro or firebird. i had to do the same thing on my 88 GTA. now i have an adapter harness and it is done right. looks real proffessional as well. good luck in your project.
