License plate rattle

I recently got 2 10" Audiobahn 600w subs in a bandpass box, running a Rockford 400w by 2 channel amp. It sound farking GOOD... but, my license plate rattles like hell.

I bought some weather stripping type stuff for house windows, 1/4" thick.. thought about putting that in-between the plate and bracket it bolts to.. any other ways of curing the rattle?

little rubber washers between the plate and braket on each mounting point and between the plate and the car would help. You might still have to put something in the middle of the plate though.

DYNAMAT, my sisters eclipse had the same problem. I went up to car toys and asked one of their installers if he had any scrap dynamat cuttings and he gave me two strips. I put one strip accross the holes for the drill and another parallel to the first at the bottem. it worked GREAT.

another thing is if you have the plastic license plate holder/frame thingy get rid of it. its just more things to vibrate against eachother.

hope it was helpful.
