here is what i am running...

4th gen head unit wired for a external amp (96 delco/bose)
100 x 4 channel amp
kenwood 4x6 in the dash
kenwood 6x9 in the b piller

everytime i play the radio or a cd it sounds fine and crisp. however i have power windows and when i press the button to go up or down the speakers also give off a static sound much like white noise. recently when the blinkers are activated the static comes back. whats going on?

Did you run the wires yourself. All the signal wires have to be run away from electrical wires. Or you get the sounds that you are talking about

alright well i did do the wireing myself. a few weeks ago i wraped the RCA wires with plastic wire looms. it sounded beter at frist but now after driving the car around it came back. the RCA wires run from the head unit to the passanger foot well. then it meets the kick pannel and the 10 gauge amp power wire. the RCAs are still covered in the wire loom as both the amp power wire run under the door sill, over the wheel well to the spare tire well. could running the amp power wire with the RCAs be the cause of the problem???

How is this done? You shouldn't really run the power and signal wires together. Run the amps power and RCAs on opposite sides of the car when ever you can. Redo the grounds at the amps and take the ground for the HU out of the stock harness and ground it someplace good on the chassis. See what that does. And we have to be careful not to take over this thread from johnblaze322.
