Yea something about it making it some kind of level 6 type enclosure.Something about the shape acting in itself like a passive bandpass filter.I have the information in favorites but when I was reviewing the tech it gave me a headache.Too much ,math pertaining to volume+freq+sub displacement+the positioning of the sun&moon +alighnment of the stars.I just want thump for some muzak and rumble like thunder for others.

but i didnt get started on my box yet.. been busy.. i plan on starting this weekend hopefully.. That big box looks nice and sounds nice but it's too much to pull in/out the car.I do alotta salvage yard shoping and need the space above the well to haul stuff.Thats why I been thinking of tryin ta do a enclosure in either side .The spare tire area or storage compartment areas.Should hold at least a 12 each with plenty of volume to either side ta still give off decent rumble.Just been to busy ta take panels off and do the measureing.

well .. having even the well box theres not much storage room tbh... soo i figure i'll build a big box.. if i dont like it .. il shorten it.. or make a new one.. no big deal.. since its only about $30-40 to build one
Yea basically the cost of a sheet or 2 of mdf or don't shoot me for saying it plywood. Some silacone to seal and screws ta hold it all together. But personaly I DO recomend buying a couple a sticks of atleast 1x1 inch 2x2" is easier to work with tho.To cut and stick along all the corners and screw em inplace.Add em after ya run the silacone beads and assemble each section. This actually reinforces the joinnt in each corner and also helps keep the silacone from comeing loose.
But what ever ya rty have fun and enjoy thats the biggest thing about mods.To enjoy.Lemme know what it all weighs and how bad it is ta remove(LOL) if ya do the bigg one....Bill

OH yea I got a guy that does compitition sound offs and once i get him the measurements and my equipment specs he's gonna try ta use the programs he has ta generate me a couple a box's for the R/S .1 set for the well and 1 set for the spare tire/storage compartment areas.

... but ill get some pics up for ya Np man on my way back outside now to take apart the whole hatch area.Gonna change the hatch for 1 with defogger and add hatch remote release and the brackets for the pull across hatch area cover.Long day ahead of me.Plan ta take the measurements and some pix for referance of the spare tire area and storage compartment area as well.
Will probably reroute the amp power and ground wires while back there the prev owner has it all running from batt to back engine compartment then across to P/S and in to cab from P/S door and back to hatch area.Too long a run and runs across the distributor area so tend to pick up spark pop thru power line.Like i said long day ahead of me here.

what gauge power wire are you gonna run? i have ot change mine.. and was thinking 4 or 5 gauge.. seeing as i have a 1000watt amp.. that should put out the rated rms.. it being a Memphis
Runnin 0 gage to a block then think it's a 4 off that. The intent is to eventually have a spare batt off an isolator and or second 140 amp alt running multible amps.I plan ta have almost about 3 or 4 amps above the back seat on a rack unit. All wires running under the rack and down to their respective locations. Then it will be basicaly plug and play according to what box or combinations of box's i wanna run.Up to and includeing all combinations at 1 time. All spliting and redirecting of power and source sound will be up in the center console off micro switchs actuateing relays acording to what switch i throw.Have the majority of it down on notebook paper and gathering parts weekly. Will set up a test run in the shed to make sure it will all work b4 the actual install.

Here's what I did with mine, the box measured out to 1.4 cubes per side so I used Win ISD to calculate the port length.
