monsoon sub?

monsoon sub?

i have a monsoon head unit, if i want to add the subwoofer do i need to get the monsoon amp too? or can the sub be wired to the HU?

you would need an amp.. im pretty sure the headunit alone wouldnt be enough for that.. thats why there is the monsoon amp...

The head unit can't drive a sub... most amps are 25W, while decent subs take more (~200W on up). You also need to make sure that your amp has a sub pre-out so you can send the signal to the sub amp.
