radio issues need expert help!
when i baught the car the stereo was stolen and the wiring harness was chopped so i baught a new 21 pin wiring harness all colors match to the remaining wires but for the exception that theres 2 grey , 2 yellow and 2 brown i tried my best to see what wires go together i matched them up as best as i could and even with fiddeling with them either the buzzing would stop or just come back with certian wiring combos i pluged in the antenna and the buzzing changed to sound more like a detailed buzz ... so anyways i have a 1990 GTA with rpo codes for stereo are as follows
UQ1 UX1 U62 U75 , power antenna was removed and converted to standard antenna , anyways i baught the wiring harness wired it up and had a radio w/ equilizer off a standard 1989 trans am pluged it in and all i get is buzzing not even radio static , the time does not display as well but it will illuminate and will run cassete tapes no sound or anything though so i know its got power and the buzzing volume can be increases with the **** so anyways i need help please is it a miswire? , radio bad it worked on previous car , GTA has special radio equipment? was it cuz i disabled the pwr antenna or should i take it in to abc warehouse or car tunes and let them work it out ???

Sound like speakers wires to me. 2 brown 2 grey 2 yellow. Should be 2 green hanging around somewhere. Look for the black strip on one of them. Look at wiring diagram, usually written on top of radio.

so anyways heres the new scoop , radio still doesnt show time , function for radio stations , plays casette! , so far front dvr side speaker functions 100% pssgr side speaker is dim but plays , rear dvr side doesnt function but a lil bit , rear pssgr side is staticky and plays only when u push on it so im thinking the radio off the 89 is not compadable and theres loose wires on the speakers i narrowed down all the possabilitys so every thing is wired up to my guess 90% correct i think im just going to take it in and get a CD player and 4 replacement speakers
do u think thats a better idea!?
